# BNS V2 Overview

### Key Features of BNS V2

1. **Multiple Names Per Address**
   * Users can now hold multiple BNS names in a single wallet address, streamlining portfolio management.
   * Example: A single wallet can hold `john.btc`, `company.id`, and `artpiece.stx`, all managed from one account.
2. **Namespace Creation and Management**
   * V2 empowers users and businesses to create and manage their own namespaces, such as `.brand` or `.community`.
   * Namespace creators can set:
     * Custom pricing for registrations.
     * Renewal policies.
     * Access controls for specific registrants.
   * This opens up branding, monetization, and community-building opportunities.
3. **Developer-Friendly Integration**
   * V2 introduces streamlined APIs and an enhanced SDK, making it easier than ever for developers to integrate BNS into wallets, dApps, and marketplaces.
   * This improvement accelerates ecosystem growth and adoption.
4. **Enhanced Zonefile Management**
   * Zonefile updates, such as linking new Bitcoin addresses or metadata, are now faster and more cost-effective.
   * This ensures that BNS names remain dynamic and adaptable for various use cases, including payments, identity, and app integrations.
5. **Improved Smart Contract Architecture**
   * Built using the **Clarity** smart contract language, the V2 upgrade enhances security, transparency, and future-proofing.
   * The architecture supports new features and allows for seamless evolution of the system.
